"Silk Road Colorful Clouds - Ethnic Costume Design and Image Ambassador Competition" Excellent Works: Chuxiong Prefecture's "Singing the Silk Road" Showcase!

During the annual, grandest, and most solemn traditional festival of the Yi people, the Torch Festival, the "Silk Road Colorful Clouds - Ethnic Costume Design and Image Ambassador Competition" showcased excellent works. These included 307 sets of clothing covering 25 ethnic minorities from all 16 prefectures (cities) of the province, 163 design drawings submitted by 72 designers, 159 embroidery pieces selected by 121 embroidery masters, and 60 image ambassadors participating in the exhibition.

On the evening of July 24, 2019, at the Yi Zhou Grand Theater in Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan, the "Silk Road Colorful Clouds - Colorful Yunnan 2019 Ethnic Costume Festival" presented its achievements from various stages and a showcase of artistic masterpieces from five Southeast Asian countries – "Singing the Silk Road" – in a stunning performance.

The main content of the performance was the display of representative clothing and accessories from the "Silk Road Colorful Clouds - Star of Colorful Clouds" and the "Silk Road Colorful Clouds - Costume Design and Image Ambassador Competition" that were selected during the Kunming Ethnic Fashion Week, along with a catwalk by the image ambassador representatives. This exquisite cultural performance also invited art troupes from Lancang-Mekong River basin countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand, to present their artistic masterpieces.

Yunnan Radio and Television Network Group, as one of the organizers of the "Silk Road Colorful Clouds - Ethnic Costume Design and Image Ambassador Competition and Exhibition Activities" during the climax phase of the "Silk Road Colorful Clouds - Colorful Yunnan 2019 Ethnic Costume Festival," selected a total of 70 excellent costume design works from the various stages of the Ethnic Costume Festival to participate in the exhibition performance.
